100 days...

Why does 100 days seem so much longer than saying 3 months and 10 days? I figured I had to post on the 100th day! Plane tickets have been booked, hotel rooms have been reserved, everything else is pretty much done except for finding a place to have dinner after the wedding. The reason why we wanted to go away was to kepp costs and stress down. The restaurants in the hotel have fixed menus that are a little more than we were hoping to spend. So now I will have to search for a restaurant not in a hotel but close enough for people to get to without spending a fortune on a cab ride.. Anyone know of a good restaurant in Vegas?

103 days...

This is the chapel at Mandalay Bay where I am getting married! Isn't it gorgeous?

Plane tickets have been bought ..check.. hotel rooms have been reserved..check..

So I think the hardest part of this wedding planning process is deciding what to do with my hair! Any suggestions for a halter neckline? We still have to decide where to go and eat after the wedding. There are plenty of restaurants but we don't want to spend$120 a person to eat dinner. I guess I will be doing some research on finding a location and a decent menu. Music has been picked out for the ceremony and purple calla lilies will be the flowers for the wedding.

My to do list -

1. Decide hair style and decide who will do it

2. Write processonal for wedding coordinator

3. Make programs

4. pick out restaurant and menu

5.and I who know what else I am missing....

4 months to go..exactly 120 days!

Again time is just flying by! I talked to my wedding coordinator yesterday for the first time. It makes me so excited about the big weekend. I just loved hearing all of the little things such as where the photographer will take us, meeting with the minister, and so on and so on... I have been working my butt off at they gym. You see my dress fits fine. That is not the problem. The problem is that I think it would look 100 times better if I drop a couple of dress sizes and have the dress taken in some! So now I am trying to go to the gym everyday to get on that treadmill and work on my running or hit the ultra hard extreme fitness class! My clothes are getting looser, but I am not sure if the weight is dropping. I guess that part does not matter if I am building and toning muscle. Anyway next weekend is our two year anniversary! Crazy, huh?

134 days..

I can't believe how time is flying by! It is a great thing because that means I get married sooner and we are moving through the school year quickly! I am ready for summer break! Anyways,Todd and I are a little confused. He had picked out the wedding band he wants, but then heard from someone that titanium is not a good choice. This person said that if he ever broke his hand or finger, the ring would be extremely difficult to get off due to titanium being so hard. Has anybody heard about this? Should we look at something else?

Blogging...

So I am really enjoying this thing called Blogging. I am looking at other blog sites and finding other ladies who manage to brighten my day when I read their new post. It is so nice to read all different things from people's thoughts to wild days.I mean people write about all kinds of things. To me it is a breath of fresh air knowing that I am not the only one having a rough day or a great day. I don't think my fiance' quite understands it. He seems to think I am putting all of our information out on the internet for people to see. I try to explain to him that what I am writing is pretty much what I am feeling or how my day went. Reading others' blogs give me ideas on many aspects of my life. So thank you for letting me tell you what I am going through and letting me read about your daily ups and downs. I truly enjoy taking the time.

150 days...

I am getting married in exactly 5 months!! It goes by so quickly! I am so ready for it now! Most of the details have been finished except I am stressing about how to do my hair. I mean if I have a bad do then my pictures are ruined. I want a do that is beautiful and flattering that goes with my headband and veil. Why is picking a hairstyle so difficult for me? We don't know where we are eating after the wedding since it is being held in Vegas but that doesn't matter. MY HAIRSTYLE HAS NOT BEEN PICKED OUT! It is something that I have been looking for now on the internet and through bridal magazines. Nothing stands out. Oh well. At least I am not stressing about anything else about the wedding. Who can think about anything else when you teach six special needs children everyday? Let's hope these 150 days go by quickly!

165 days...

So it has been a while. Both Todd and I have been working a lot. Now a days we have to with the economy the way it is. We have bills to pay and a wedding to save for. We still have to buy wedding bands, a new suit for Todd, and have spending money for the honeymoon. I am sure I am forgetting other things also. We received another engagement gift yesterday.. I got my first china place setting! Todd isn't so thrilled, he thinks he really don't need it. I want to have nice dishes for special occasions and holidays. We are keeping it =)! I can't believe that we have 5 and a half months left! Time is going by so quickly! We made our song choices for the ceremony and what we want for breakfast the morning after and that is about it. I still have to make my floral choices -I think I might just go for red roses - it should go well with the bridesmaids' black dresses and hopefully Todd's suit (he want to get a black one). I have decided not to have a floral bouquet. I found a special bouquet made of other things that will last forever and I love it! Kemm has offered to throw me a bridal shower and I believe that Jess and Shanna are throwing me my bachelorette party! So I am very excited about those events. I think it will really start to hit me is after the new year when the showers begin!

178 days...

Now it less than 6 months away...wow! Time is flying by! It is a good thing right now not only because I get to marry my best friend but also I get a vacation! We both need that! Trying to find sometime to spend together is challenging now. I work days and he tends to work some nights. I try to wake up when he gets home from work so we can at least spend a few minutes together to talk. My sleep schedule is starting to get all crazy now! I am always exhausted! When we are together, he is usually layed out on one couch while I am on the other one. Now that baseball season is winding down and football season is just beginning we are in front of the tv a lot. We would love to go out more, unfortunately the money situation prevents us from doing so. We are using our netflix subscription religiously! Well I am at home again waiting for him to come home from softball. Hopefully he will be home soon....

187 days to go...

We have so much we want and need to do to this house! Replace the rotten wood, pressure wash the deck and then seal it, get a new tv, get a new oven, and new countertops... wants vs. needs - the last three won't come for a while. We recently just steam cleaned all of the carpets though sometimes it looks like we need to do that every week! I got a new area rug for the living room and a a couple of rugs for our foyer. I was tired of vacuuming the foyer twice a day! It looks good and it was a good value! Tonight we got to spend some time together - we had to go get sushi from Sekisui Midtown - we love the Lori roll! anyway, bedtime is rolling around and my pillow is calling my name...

203 days...

Well,I can't believe I have just bought my wedding dress!!! I was not planning on looking for another month or so, but we just happen to be by a bridal store and my mom and I decided to walk in and look. Looking turned into trying on, trying on the dress turned into trying on the accesories to match. Before I knew it, I was looking at myself in the mirror and there I was standing there with my dress, shoes, headpiece, and veil on. Kind of scary! I could have really used a drink right then and there. It made it seem so very real! The crazy thing is I took home the dress! It was brand new to the store! I don't have to wait for it to be ordered! I took home my shoes and headpiece also! The veil had to be ordered though. It is just crazy that my wedding dress is up in my closet now!

207 days....

Last night I got to look through Todd's baby pictures for the first time. What a cutie! His face has not changed a bit! It's crazy to think we are almost under 200 days. We just purchased a cute patio set for super cheap! We waited all summer long for prices to go down. It will look perfect out on the patio. Now we just have to pressure wash the deck and seal it. We have so much work to do around the house. It's too bad we just don't have the money or time to do everything. We have a list on our refrigerator of some major things we want done to the house. Todd likes making lists so he know he can cross things off when he has finished them. We now have three things crossed off. He encourages me to make a list everytime I want to accomplish something. If Todd made me a cleaning list, it would look something like this....
1.dust 2. clean walls 3. scrub baseboards 4.vaccum 5. put things away 6. use bleach, use bleach, use bleach I think he enjoys the smell of bleach sometimes...

209 days...

This morning Todd tried to give me a lesson on how to load the dishwasher. It's not that I can't do it or don't know how to do it, but he seems to think I put dishes in the wrong area...that I need to line them up in a certain way in order to get more dishes in at a time. I say if you see an open space then there goes the plate or bowl. He has left for softball practice and then work. I am laying around resting and playing on the computer when I should be straightening things up and cleaning. But due to the dogs I don't sleep very well and on Sundays I just want to read my paper, lay in bed and relax. Maybe I will get up later to straighten up the bedroom...

211 days to go...

According to our wedding website, we have 211 days to go. I remember when it was over 300. Where does time go? We started living together at the beginning of May and it has been an experience. I have had to learn to share pretty much everything and keep everything as clean as possible. That is so hard for me. I am so used to living on my own for so long. Luckily we don't have to share a bathroom! That would be pretty difficult! So now when I come home from work and say hi to my babies - Maggie Mae, Martini and Simba, I stop and look around to see what area of the house needs some attention. Of course, having two little dogs and a cat does not help my cleaning situation. I clean one area and 5 minutes later it is messy again. Who needs kids? If you know me then you know it is hard for me to constantly clean. Now Todd could clean all day. I think he really enjoys it. So I have had to step up and try to do some work. If he would let me I would so give up some money every week to have someone else clean it. But we are getting married in Vegas and we are trying to save up for the trip in addition to paying bills. My soon to be newest hobby is making candles. Maybe I can make a little money off of it and all of the profits will go to our trip...
