past couple of days..

So I survived my first week of summer school. It has been difficult to wake up because I am required to be there 45 minutes earlier than my regular school time. Because of waking up so early I have been absolutely exhausted. I have been taking short little power naps to try to help me out.
Thursday afternoon, Mr. M and I went out to the St. Jude Classic golf tournament. It was so humid, but we had a blast anyways drinking adult beverages and playing cornhole for the very first time. Let's just say we need to practice! But we enjoyed it so much that we plan on buying cornhole for the house! Then we met my parents over at Brooklyn Bridge Italian Restaurant for some New York Style Pizza. It was yummy! After school on Friday, I met my mom at her house and we alked over to the gof tournament again. We walked up just in time to see Phil Mickelson hit a few shots! It was a beautiful sunny day, but it was hot! By the time we got back I was so hot and sweaty that I layed down on her couch for a few minutes until I was woken up by my mom yelling at me to grab the dogs and head into the bathroom. the skies turned gray and the wind and rain started down. The tornado sirens went off and my mom's patio furniture (iron) went toppling over into her water fountain. Her umbrella was shredded. It turned out that we had about 80 mph winds. So much of Memphis was left without power and tree damage. After I went home, I found that my house was fine except for one big branch in our backyard. Luckily we still had power! It is supposed to be 90 degrees today! I couldn't imagine not having air conditioning!

I'm glad to hear your safe -- how scary! I'm a little jealous about getting to see the golf tourney though!
