47 days..and a pink swap surprise!

Tonight was good night. I went and picked up sushi for Todd and me and we enjoyed the "Lori roll" (that is the real name - spicy crawfish topped with smoked salmon and a garlic onion sauce - it is yummy!) and the philly roll along with some Little Penguin Pinot Noir (so good at an even better price!) while we relaxed by the tv. But the best part was when the mail carrier came and left me a surprise!!! Monograms and Manicures coordinated a pink swap and I received my gift from Sarah at Downtown Southern today! I should have taken a pic of me opening it because it was wrapped all cute in green tissue paper with the loveliest pink and white ribbon. But I could not hold out! I had to open my surprises! I received a soft pink fleece blanket (I always have a blanket on me - good call), a pink calendar for my purse, hand cream, lip gloss, twizzlers, maui mint orbit gum (yum!), a magnetic girls night out frame (my bachelorette is feb. 28 - I will be sure to put one of my pics in it!), a very cute damask pink and white frame, and a supersoft pink and white scarf made by Sarah - (I adore this gift - it is so cute and so soft!) Here is a pic of my lovely pink things!!!! Thank you so much, Sarah!!!

Shanna gave me the idea of a new title for my blog - The Life of LT - I like it! Any other ideas???? I can't wait to blog about my real life and not just stressing over a wedding!

48 days...

I thought a destination wedding would not be as stressful as planning a large one at home. I am pretty sure I was wrong. I have had to go and get medicine for nerves. Friday I had to take one pill in the morning and one in the afternoon. I left school shaking! People just say they are coming... our chapel only holds 30 people.. well the others will have to stand...Someone said that one couple is bringing their babies! to a Vegas wedding! I told my soon to be mother in law that they would need to find a babysitter for the ceremony because the only little one invited is Lincoln - my ringbearer! I guess I am just a little flustered!!!! Anyways, I thought that once the wedding is over I will need my blog's name changed.. From Wife in Training to....? any ideas?

Our monogram!

I just love it!

2 months! 60 days!!!

I wanted to share a picture of the gift I am giving my 2 bridesmaids -my matron of honor and my maid of honor. They each get a monogrammed quilted travel bag for the trip, earrings for the ceremony, a luggage tag, notepads, flipflops, and travel size products (mouthwash, baby wipes, tissues, q-tips, and advil - we are going to vegas!)

Also,I found something special at Southern Event Planners' little boutique. They have such gorgeous wedding accessories and gifts. It was a gorgeous crystal bouquet. I thought about my bouquet. I could pay a couple hundred dollars for some flowers that will probably wilt and die in a week or I could get this one which will look like this forever! I decided to be different! I got the bouquet and can't wait to display it in our bedroom after the wedding!

My word of the year...

Tip Junkie is hosting a word of the year giveaway. If I could just pick one word that I would like to represent my 2009, that word would be...CREATE. I always want to learn how to do something new. Last year I learned how to make candles and even designed a website to sell them. I enjoy taking something in my hands and creating something new. It gives me the self confidence to know that Ican do anything if I just try. If I had the resources and time, I would learn how to DIY everything I possibly could. Two of my new year resolutions this year is to learn how to embroider by hand and to learn to sew. I can't wait to see what I can CREATE this year...

71 days...

The time is just flying by! I am starting to get a little stressed already which I didn't think could happen with a small destination wedding. Probably because my mother and I are having to find a place for dinner after the wedding by looking at pictures and menus on the internet. Some of the menu choices are not ideal due to people's preferences. I am also trying to limit the menu due to money. I do not want my parents paying an arm and a leg for a dinner even if it is our wedding dinner. Sometimes I think I might just be happy with eating at McDonald's! okay that might be exxagerating a little... Anyway, we are not sure of all the people that are coming. We decided not send invitations out because if we invited some people then others would feel left out. Several friends and family have said they are coming but have not booked flights yet. It is hard to plan a dinner without knowing the number of people that are coming. Especially when we have to pay for half of the dinner up front. Oh well, still looking for the perfect hairstyle... I have looked everywhere for ideas and still nothing jumps out at me! My fiance' have decided on a little challenge about dropping some weight for the wedding. We want to look good in our wedding pictures!

New Year's Resolutions...

I have never taken the new year's resolutions too seriously. Last year I made a 2008 spark book with things I wanted to accomplish in the different aspects of my life. It looked pretty but eventually it got put away and was forgotten about.
What do I want to accomplish this year...

1. Learn how to sew
2. Learn how to do embroidery by hand
3. Get to the gym more often
4. Organize my bedroom
5. Clean more efficiently
6. Save money
7. Stress less
8. And of course get married!

Now I just need to plan on how I am going to do all of this!
